National Education Weeks for Schools & Groups

As part of our commitment to Primary School S.T.E.A.M education, Imaginosity is proud to be part of the annual national celebrations of Maths, Science and Engineering with Maths Week, Science Week and Engineers Week.  As part of these celebrations the museum  hosts a diverse and interesting programme of daily events throughout these weeks where school groups can explore, discover and experiment in a way that they would be unable to do in school.  Education Week workshops are suitable for children from Junior Infants to Second Class. Costs are €9 per child, for a 2 hour visit to Imaginosity which is split between fun on the museum floor and our accredited DPSM workshop.

CALLING ALL CLIMATE SUPERHEROES...! Join us this year for Science week 2019 and take part in our very special Climate Superhero Training, where we are going to join together as classes to investigate all the different ways that WE can help OUR planet...and become fully qualified "CLIMATE SUPERHEROES".

Climate trainees will use the Scientific Method to work through three experiments to investigate greenhouse gases, the effect of global warming on the planet and how the climate impacts our oceans and rising sea levels.  The 40 minute workshop will conclude with a hands-on session where trainees will learn how they can make a real difference to the environments THEY live in by making their very own 'Exploding Wild Seed Balls' to take home, 'Egg Box Bumble Bees' and their class Superhero Graduation Certificate!

Science Week workshops are suitable for children from Junior Infants to Second Class. Costs are €9 per child, for a 2 hour visit and DPSM Science Week workshop.  Due to popular demand, our 2019 "Climate Superheroes" workshop will run over two weeks from 11th - 22nd November at 9.30 and 11.30 am, to book your schools visit please call us on 01-2176130.
