Imaginosity advises that visitors ALWAYS book in advance. We perfer to avoid any disappointment for children who would find it difficult to understand that they are unable to visit due to an issue around capacity. It is always better to book, either ONLINE or by calling 01 2176130.
At busy times (weekends, Bank Holidays, Summer Holidays and Mid Term Breaks) we operate a timed-ticketing system, which guarantees you a 2 hour visit in the museum at set times. This allows plenty of time to explore and enjoy all the exhibit areas.

Grown-ups are required to stay with and supervise their children at all times. We uphold a policy of 'no children without adults, no adults without children.'
Due to Fire Regulations, we do not permit buggies beyond the Reception Area. We do however provide Baby Carriers for your comfort and convenience. You can request a carrier on arrival.

Imaginosity recommends the Dunnes Stores underground car park if you are travelling by car. There is no on-street parking available. You can park for up to 2 hours free of charge in the Dunnes Stores car park.
The main entrance to the museum can be found up the main steps at the front of the building.The museum Reception Desk, just inside the door, is where you should check in on arrival. Reception Staff will explain how the museum works and provide you with any other information that you require for your visit including workshops or any other activities that take place during your session.
We require one supervising adult to every 5 children over 3 years and 1 adult to every 3 children under 3 years. Grown ups must stay with and supervise their children at all times.
Accessibility / Special Needs
Imaginosity is designed to be an inclusive space. Imaginosity is fully accessible to all visitors. Visitors who require a carer, the carer will be admitted free of charge.
The building is fully accessible to wheelchair users. More information is available HERE.
Imaginosity does not allow animals into the building with the exception of Guide Dogs and Assistance Dogs. We ask where possible that visitors can notify us if they will be visiting with such animals prior to their visit.
There are baby changing facilities on level 1 and at reception and Breastfeeding mothers are welcome at Imaginosity. Should you require any assistance with babycare whilst at the Museum, our fully trained staff are always happy to help.
There is always a chance that your child may get wet or messy (paint, glitter etc) if they take part in one of our interactive workshops. We do provide aprons and smocks but it is always best to leave your best clothes at home when you visit.
All Imaginosity staff are trained in Child Protection Awareness and Gard Vetted.

All Imaginosity Staff are First-Aid Trained. If a situation arises that requires first aid, during your visit, please contact a member of staff immediately.
The museum Gift Shop hosts an array of toys, books and party bag fillers for all ages (up to 8 years). You will find educational toys, plush puppets, arts and crafts toys, gorgeous fancy dress costumes and more. More information can be found HERE.
Swearing and inappropriate language are not accepted in the museum....little people's ears are always switched on.
Lockers are available in the Reception area for your convenience. All lockers take a €1 coin that is retuned once the locker is opened.
For the safety of all, grown-ups should stay with their children at all times during their visit and should have a plan in place in case of accidental separation. If a child and grown-up become separated, a staff person in purple should be notified immediately. The Museum has a procedure in place for reuniting children with their grown-ups.
The payment options available at Imaginosity are by cash, Mastercard, Visa Card, Visa Debit cards and all other Laser Cards. Imaginosity does not accept American Express cards.
Although Imaginosity is a very exciting place to be, we would ask that children do not run around once inside. This is simply to avoid our younger visitors being knocked over or injured.
Smoking is not permitted within the building or close to the main doors of Imaginosity.
We welcome educational school tours at Imaginosity. We provide educational programming for schools at various points throughout the year that coincide with national Maths Weeks, Science Weeks and Engineers Weeks, as well as the annual school tour season throughout the months of May and June. All Imaginosity Staff are trained, Garda Vetted, Child-Protection Trained experienced professionals, with qualifications ranging from fine art, drama and performance studies, to museum studies and music. All Imaginosity Staff wear PURPLE/BLUE/PINK T-Shirts with the word 'STAFF' clearly displayed on their backs. While in the museum, you may also see our museum Interns wearing Green T-Shirts (The word 'Intern' is clearly displayed on their backs). Our Interns are students who come from all over the world, to engage in Imaginosity's Internship Programme and to learn whilst assisting in tasks and programmes in the museum. Museum Interns are always happy to help out, and guide you towards a Staff Member if required. English may not be the Intern's first language, so we would ask that you please be patient with them while they try to assist you or take part in a workshop or other activity.
Imaginosity hosts an interactive workshop within every session. The workshop operates on a first-come, first-served basis and children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. On arrival you will be notified of the workshop taking place within your session, where it is taking place and at what time. A public announcement will be made to inform you that the workshop is commencing.
Imaginosity does not have Wi-Fi for visitors, simply because we would encourage you to interact with your children while in the museum.
